No account required
CleanWatch does not require you to create an account or sign in to a 365DevNet service.
This policy explains what CleanWatch stores, why it stores it, and what does not leave your browser. It applies to the CleanWatch browser extension published by 365DevNet.
CleanWatch does not require you to create an account or sign in to a 365DevNet service.
The extension does not send usage analytics, advertising IDs, or tracking events to our servers.
Settings and local stats are stored inside Chrome or another Chromium-based browser profile.
CleanWatch helps reduce distractions on YouTube by hiding selected interface elements, applying user-chosen viewing preferences, and offering focus tools such as watch-time tracking, daily limits, break reminders, schedules, and keyword filters.
CleanWatch is an independently developed browser extension. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
CleanWatch stores only the data needed to provide its user-facing features. Most of this data is stored inside your browser profile. By default, watch-time and dashboard data remain local to the device.
365DevNet does not sell CleanWatch user data.
365DevNet does not use CleanWatch user data for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness decisions.
365DevNet does not transfer CleanWatch user data to data brokers or other information resellers.
CleanWatch runs on YouTube pages so it can hide distraction-heavy elements, apply your selected settings, support focus tools, and maintain local watch-time features.
Settings are stored in browser sync storage. Watch-time and dashboard data stay local by default, but you can optionally enable compact per-device stats snapshots through your browser profile sync.
For development or unpacked installs, CleanWatch can fetch a public manifest JSON file from Codeberg to compare version numbers. This request is used only to show update availability and does not download or execute remote code.
CleanWatch stores settings in browser sync storage so they can follow your browser profile when sync is enabled.
Watch-time history, keyword filters, top-channel summaries, and most dashboard data are stored in local extension storage on your device by default.
If you enable the optional cross-device stats feature, compact per-device stats snapshots may also be stored through your browser profile sync.
CleanWatch does not operate a dedicated backend service for extension data. 365DevNet does not routinely receive, review, or manually inspect the data stored by the extension in your browser profile.
Data will only be disclosed if required by applicable law, to protect against abuse or security issues, or as otherwise permitted by applicable Chrome Web Store policies and data protection law.
